Many in the village will have noticed that the Upper Rissington Parish Christmas Tree has now arrived and is standing proudly outside of the Village Hall awaiting its decorations. Many thanks go to Bruern Farms who have provided the tree this year.
The Christmas Tree will be decorated this Sunday morning (12 Dec) at 1100 and we are very grateful to Vistry who will be providing a Cherry Picker and Operator to enable our 20 Foot high tree to be decorated safely. Some of the decorations that will be put on the tree have been designed and handmade by children from The Rissington School. It is wonderful to have them getting involved in this community symbol. We have a small group of volunteers that will be helping to decorate but if you are free on Sunday morning at 1100 then we could certainly use one or two more to join the team.
The Christmas Tree lights will be turned on at 4:30pm on Sunday. If you are free, it would be wonderful to have a small group of people to help count down the moment.
Happy Christmas to one and all.
