Following the Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s announcement of £330 billion support for businesses and workers to protect the economic emergency caused by coronavirus, there is considerable confusion over what businesses can claim, how they can claim and how quickly the support can be available.
The MP for the Cotswolds Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown will be holding his second virtual meeting for local businesses to speak to him in the Barn Theatre this Friday 27 March between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. This meeting is aimed specifically at businesses in the North Cotswolds north of Cirencester.
The meeting will be recorded and live streamed across social media platforms with businesses able to contact the MP by phone, social media or email. The meeting will also be live streamed to local media networks.
In accordance with Government guidelines, the meeting will be a closed meeting to protect everyone. Only essential production crew will be in attendance and they will take all the necessary precautions.
The purpose of the meeting is for business people in the North Cotswolds to discuss their concerns and possible solutions with their MP. He will then relay them directly to Government.
