There is a police point held in Bourton on the Water on a Wednesday 14:30-15:30 at the George Moore Community Centre, BOTW. This is a good opportunity to see the local PCSO.
The police are aware of concerns in Upper Rissington and residents should have seen a police presence in the area as it is part of their direct patrol routes.
Members of the public can call crime stoppers if they wish to report an incident and remain anonymous on 0800 555111. Or use 101 to report an incident or 999 in an emergency.
Local resident highlights HMRC scam
Cotswold District Council is alerting residents about an email scam following a tip off from a local resident.
An email message claiming to be from the HM Revenue and Customs informs the recipient that they are due a refund of Council Tax and instructs them to click to submit a request for the refund.
This is NOT genuine and residents receiving the email are advised to delete it immediately.
Please email the Clerk – email@example.com if you would like a complimentary bus taster ticket for a return journey anywhere along the 802 bus route.
Limited number of tickets available, so will allocate on a first come first served basis and a limit of two tickets per request.
Will you help make using a mobile phone when driving socially unacceptable?
The Road Safety Partnership is seeking everyone’s help with this brand new safety campaign. Its aim is to change people’s attitudes about mobile phones and driving through a blend of engagement, education and police enforcement.
Using mobile phones is one of the most dangerous behaviours for motorists, putting drivers, passengers and others on the road at risk of death and serious harm. Unfortunately, it is a behaviour seen too frequently on our roads, but together we can help to make it socially unacceptable.
The national campaign will run between 14th and 20th November – please support this campaign.
