Another vacancy has arisen on the parish council due to the resignation of Martin Johnstone, bringing the total number of vacancies on the parish council to four.
The process is that if 10 residents request an election by Monday 23 September, then that is how the seat will be filled. If an election is not called then the Parish Council may fill the vacancy by co-option.
The third vacancy was advertised last week, with the earlier deadline of Wednesday 18 September.
The district council said if any requests for election could come through to them quickly (by 10 September), they would be able to tie all four current vacancies together on the same election date.
Requests should include each elector’s name, address and signature, and should be sent to the Returning Officer at Cotswold District Council, Trinity Road, Cirencester GL7 1PX.
Please see the notice of vacancy for details.
