“Child Labour in 19th Century Oxfordshire” – 12 March

Sue Brown from the The Rissington Local History Society has sent the following information:
“Child Labour in 19th Century Oxfordshire” with Liz Woolley, an historian from Oxford on Friday 12th March at 7.30pm .
Some children had to start work at 6yrs old, and the majority of children left school at 10yrs old which seems incredible these days.  I will send the link 2 days before for Zoom.
A reminder that we have slotted in a talk in April – Friday 16th at 7.30pm – as the planned visit has had to be cancelled due to restrictions. “Place names in the Gloucestershire Landscape” by Dr Simon Draper.
Anyone who hasn’t paid their subscription for the current programme – it is now £7 for the remainder of the programme. Otherwise, if you want to join us for just one talk, we suggest a donation of £2.50. Bank details are Lloyds – 30-95-75 acct no 19817360.
