Please find below today’s update from Bovis Homes on completion of the public open spaces in Upper Rissington. Changes since the previous update are highlighted:

Area 1 – Officers Mess Playing Fields

• Playground now open.
• Planting ongoing, to be finished w/e 24/01/20
• Soil backing up of footpath boards to tidy and seed. This will be done when the seed has a better chance of taking.

Area 2 – Officers Mess Surround

• Rear will be completely tidied, top soiled and seeded to make good.
• Front will be rotavated and seeded.
• This is an area of priority for us and we hope to have this done by w/e 07/02/20.

Area 3 – Allotments and tennis courts

• Allotment footpaths are all established, ground prep still to complete for allotments, main gate to install and water feed to finalise.
• White lining to tennis courts will be completed closer to handover. Same applies for the nets.
• Final decision on water feed issue expected this coming Friday, 17 January.
• This is another area that is a priority for us. Again, we are hoping to have this area complete by early next year.

Area 6 – LEAP 4

• Estate railing commenced, gates now on site. Awaiting willow tunnel install, expected next week. Completion expected by end of January.

Area 8 & 9

• Area 9 paths progressing well.
• Area of trees cleared to allow installation of post and rail to segregate development land.

TCL

• Hoping to have an updated programme next week.

EMG & Pond

• Foul line very close to completion, there may be a slight delay due to delivery lead times (relating to raised pipe element of the diversion). EMG will continue to work on other items whilst waiting on this.

• Footpaths are complete are ready for Tarmac next Tuesday, 10th Dec..

Area 2 – Officers Mess Surround

• Rear will be completely tidied, top soiled and seeded to make good.
• Front will be rotavated and seeded.
• This is an area of priority for us and we hope to have this done within the month.

Area 3 – Allotments and tennis courts

• Allotment footpaths are all established, ground prep still to complete for allotments, main gate to install and water feed to finalise.
• Tennis court fencing complete. White lining and nets to be completed nearer to hand over to avoid vandalism.
• Water feed resolution expected Monday 9th Dec. We are hopeful connection can continue on shortly after this.
• This is another area that is a priority for us. Again, we are hoping to have this area complete by early next year.

Area 6 – LEAP 4

• Area flailed, willow tunnel install is next week. Awaiting confirmation of railing install.

Area 8 & 9

• Areas cleared and flailed ready for pathways. May start this side of Christmas, if not it will be first week of January.

TCL

• Hoping to have an updated programme next week.

EMG & Pond

• EMG are back on site, working on dropped kerbs and a general tidy up this week. Works to pond and spillway to commence next week.

• Playground has been inspected and report passed back to TCL. There are a few unexpected items to rectify before opening which will be completed at the earliest convenience. I am now hopeful of opening this play park by the end of November.
• Footpaths are ongoing to the area, expected completion by the end of November. This also incorporates the section of footpath linking Longmore Walk and the playing fields (this section may fall into early December now).

• Equipment in place, awaiting fencing, willow tunnel, benches and tidy of weed area to the rear of the play park.

• These areas are next on our agenda to start.

• Generally we have fallen behind the programme. I have asked TCL to draw a new programme up and issue to me, as soon as I have this I will pass it on. Chased 19/11/2019.

EMG & Pond

• 2no trees have been felled. Update 27 Nov: EMG are due back on site week commencing 2 December.

• Playground was delayed a little due to the ropes for the climbing frame being too short… and we are now waiting for 16no caps to finish this particular bit of equipment off. Again I am hoping to have this inspected and signed off next week, however I do not have a concrete date from TCL.
• Footpaths are ongoing to the area, expected completion by the end of November. This also incorporates the section of footpath linking Longmore Walk and the playing fields.

We have placed the order today for the felling of the 2no trees that obstruct our foul line diversion. We are just awaiting a date from the tree surgeon; when we have this EMG’s return to site will be planned.
