CDC Budget Consultation

Dear All

I am writing to you about Cotswold District Council’s Budget Consultation for 2021/22. We want to gather the views of residents and businesses, and of course Town and Parish Councillors, from across the Cotswolds to inform our plans for the year ahead. Set against a backdrop of the ongoing pandemic, it has never been more important that we deliver our services with maximum impact.

I’m not only writing to encourage you to give us your views, but to ask for your help in sharing the budget consultation with your communities so that we can gain the most accurate picture from across the District. Your councillors views’ and the views of residents in your area are key.

As part of the Budget Consultation we would like to invite Town and Parish Councillors and Clerks to a live Q&A session about the proposed 2021/22 budget with Cllr Mike Evemy, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance and Jenny Poole, our Chief Finance Officer.

The web meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th of November between 7 pm and 8:30 pm. Further details including how to join the meeting are given in the attached briefing pack.

This pack contains a range of supporting information and materials. Please support us in any way you can, by sharing our social media and news releases and encouraging your members to share the consultation with others.

If you have any immediate questions about our proposals, please contact Cllr Mike Evemy, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Finance at

If you have any ideas about how we can reach residents in your area and the role that your council can play, please contact Cllr Clive Webster, Cabinet Member for Town and Parish Councils at

Your councillors’ and residents’ views and feedback will be key to ensuring we are delivering what our communities want and need at this most challenging of times.

Thank you,  Cllr Joe Harris, Leader of Cotswold District Council
