Christmas Opening Hours 2019

The parish council office will be closed from Monday 23rd December and re-open on Thursday 2nd January.

The e-mail clerk@upperrissington-pc.gov.uk and the telephone answering machine will be monitored during the Christmas break. If the enquiry is extremely urgent, then we’ll try to respond promptly; otherwise messages will be dealt with in the New Year.

Public Open Spaces Update – 6 December 2019

Please find below today’s update from Bovis Homes on completion of the public open spaces in Upper Rissington. Changes since the previous update are highlighted:

Area 1 – Officers Mess Playing Fields

  • Playground now open.
  • Footpaths are complete are ready for Tarmac next Tuesday, 10th Dec..

Area 2 – Officers Mess Surround

  • Rear will be completely tidied, top soiled and seeded to make good.
  • Front will be rotavated and seeded.
  • This is an area of priority for us and we hope to have this done within the month.

Area 3 – Allotments and tennis courts

  • Allotment footpaths are all established, ground prep still to complete for allotments, main gate to install and water feed to finalise.
  • Tennis court fencing complete. White lining and nets to be completed nearer to hand over to avoid vandalism.
  • Water feed resolution expected Monday 9th Dec. We are hopeful connection can continue on shortly after this.
  • This is another area that is a priority for us. Again, we are hoping to have this area complete by early next year.

Area 6 – LEAP 4

  • Area flailed, willow tunnel install is next week. Awaiting confirmation of railing install.

Area 8 & 9

  • Areas cleared and flailed ready for pathways. May start this side of Christmas, if not it will be first week of January.

TCL

  • Hoping to have an updated programme next week.

EMG & Pond

  • EMG are back on site, working on dropped kerbs and a general tidy up this week. Works to pond and spillway to commence next week.

Changes To Waste Collections Christmas 2019

Cotswold District Council’s waste and recycling collection service provider, Ubico Ltd, will be making normal collections up to and including Tuesday 24 December. Crews will NOT be working on Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 December and Wednesday 1 January.

As a consequence, there will be changes in collection days until the normal schedule resumes on Monday 20 January 2020.

Crews will be working on three Saturdays – 4 January, 11 January and 18 January – to catch up.

The collection days will change as follows:
